As per the latest update, the authority has extended the choice selection and fee payment date after round 1 allotment. Candidates can select their choices and pay fee till today, August 19, 2025 (3 PM). Reporting at the allotted institutes can be done till August 19, 2025 (5:30 PM). Round 1 final seat allotment result was announced on August 2, 2025.

Given below is the step-by-step process of Karnataka NEET 2025 counselling.
Step 1: Login to the portal
Candidates have to login at the official website: kea.kar.nic.in entering the security key and password.
Note: In case candidates do not remember the security key, they can find it from the acknowledgement slip released after successful document verification.
Step 2: Institutes participating in Karnataka NEET 2025 admission appear
Once logged in, candidates have to choose a discipline (medical/dental).
On choosing a medical discipline, the list of MBBS colleges in the state appears on the screen.
If dental discipline is chosen, the list of BDS colleges participating in the admission process is displayed on the screen.
Step 3: Karnataka NEET UG counselling: Choice filling
Candidates need to follow the steps mentioned below for Karnataka choice filling NEET 2025.
To choose a college, medical aspirants have to enter the priority number in front of that choice.
Candidates can fill as many choices for Karnataka MBBS/BDS counselling.
It must be noted that the choices filled before the round one counselling of Karnataka MBBS 2025 are final and used for subsequent counselling rounds.
Candidates who have registered but not filled the choices are not considered for Karnataka MBBS admission.
Once the application form is submitted, candidates need to upload their documents for verification. Aspirants can check the steps of document verification given below.
Steps for document verification
Login by entering the application ID and password.
Upload the documents required for Karnataka MBBS/BDS admission in PDF format.
Verify the uploaded documents and make changes if required
An OTP is received on the registered mobile and email ID. Enter the OTP to submit the declaration.
After successful submission of documents, an acknowledgement slip is generated. Save and take multiple printouts of the acknowledgement slip for future use.
Candidates must note that the verification acknowledgement slip is an important document for Karnataka MBBS admission 2025. In the verification slip the details of the candidate, the list of documents verified for Karnataka MBBS/BDS admission, category details, merit rank, and the security key are mentioned.
The authority conducts the Karnataka MBBS seat allotment based on the choices filled by candidates, reservation criteria, seat matrix, and NEET 2025 rank and score. The list mentions the details of candidate, NEET score, and the allotted college and course. Once the seat is allotted, candidates have to choose any of the following options based on their status.
Choice 1: Candidates satisfied with allotted seats and not willing to participate in further rounds of counselling.
Choice 2: Candidates satisfied with the allotted MBBS/BDS seat but willing to participate in the next round of Karnataka NEET 2025 counselling.
Choice 3: Candidates not satisfied with the seat allotted in Karnataka MBBS counselling 2025 and willing to participate in the next round of seat allotment.
Choice 4: Candidates not satisfied with the seat allotted and also not willing to participate further in the Karnataka MBBS/BDS 2025 counselling.
Fee payment and admission order
Candidates opting for choice 1 have to pay the tuition fee via e-challan/NEFT/IMPS/RTGS challan/credit/debit card/net banking.
After the successful fee payment candidates have to submit their original documents to the state authority and download the admission order from the official website for Karnataka MBBS 2025 admission.
Candidates opting for choice 2 have to pay the tuition fee using any of the above-mentioned modes however, are not able to download the admission order.
Medical aspirants opting for choice 3 do not have to pay the admission fee or submit documents. They can directly participate in the next round of Karnataka MBBS 2025 counselling.
Students who are allotted MBBS/BDS seats in the Karnataka MBBS seat allotment process and choose option 1 have to report to the allotted institute within the time duration. Such candidates have to pay the tuition fee and download the admission order from the KEA website. While reporting candidates must carry the admission order and other important documents to avoid any inconvenience.
